All of you are in our heart and minds here at the United States Patriot Corps and we want to wish you and your families a Happy Thanksgiving. This year amid the pandemic it is not a normal Thanksgiving, as outdoor games and celebrations are very low-key. Many people have opted for indoor celebrations with just immediate family members and share with others through Video Chats or Phone Calls.

On Thanksgiving Day traditionally, the farmers thanked God for their autumn harvest. Thanksgiving Day is observed on the fourth Thursday in November. In 1863, Abraham Lincoln - the 16th President of the United States first declared Thanksgiving a holiday and an off day for workers.

Now on Thanksgiving Day normally, families and friends get together for a meal and celebrate the day with fun and games. The traditional meal of roast turkey, stuffing, potatoes, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie is a must.

However you celebrate Thanksgiving this year take time to reflect on the things to be thankful for like your freedoms, liberty, family and friends.

Here is a quote to ponder and reflect on. "As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words but to live by them." - John F. Kennedy
